"Welcome to Ballet School", an introductory book to ballet written by NYC Ballet ballerina Ashley Bouder, and published in August 2020 by Quarto books. Longer than the usual children’s picture book, with 64 pages full of illustrations painted with acrylic gouache and colored pencils.

The book is divided in two parts. On the first one, the five main characters (Joonwon, Amirah, Alejandro, Violet and Sahani) are introduced to the basic poses and movements of ballet.

On the second half of the book we’re introduced to ballerina Ashley Bouder that will teach the kids to dance the “Sleeping Beauty” ballet.
